Brown is just a birdcage liner for those behind the Bank of England and European Central Bank, they poop on him, we vote him out, then line their cage with the Cameron birdcage liner.

Question for Planning... I'm looking into gold, do you think getting 20 1oz Britanias is a good way of buying gold, typically 5% above bullion value, what do you think about gold and how easy is it to sell?
Many thanks

The comments at the bottom deserve to be aired on national television.

Debt isn't really all that bad on its own - one should look at the balance sheet. They are writing the article as if they are talking about DEFICIT, but hey it's the Daily Mail, one must read everything in the light of who wrote it I suppose.
I am not saying that our nation is not massively in debt, and I am not saying that being in debt is fine. I have no personal debt myself, and I do not advocate debt.
I do love the way they suggest that personal debt and corporate debt should be included!
- but I do agree that the items they included to get the 157% figure should probably be included.
I imagine that other governments do the same kind of thing, so I hate to think what the debts of Germany, Switzerland or The Netherlands really are (and Japan does not even bear thinking about, along with the strong Yen).

Bystander, many things should be on mainstream media, but it never will, get over it and just enjoy being part of the alternative media re(love)ution.
Gold up to £510/ounce. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Bystander, I think the whole thing should be aired on national television.
p4ac, I have read most of your comments and I was glad to read them and I hope you do well out of your gold speculation. All I see in you though is the collapse of the UK. The entire problem is that everyone is concerned with relative instead of absolute wealth. You didn't put your money into any kind of investment in the UK, you won't be producing a novel vacuum cleaner a la Dyson, you won't be doing anything in fact apart from becoming relatively richer and only because others become poorer.
What kind of success is that? Soon enough, we can all become richer just by leaving so spare me your bragging (which is a bit too soon mate).
