bbc: Grants cut over funding

Shame this takes second place over Ross and Brand, as this is much more important than a joke....

Great - the government can borrow £50 billion to recaptialise banks, but can't borrow £200m to invest in the future productivity of the nation.

They wanted 50% to go to uni, as long as they came from privileged backgrounds and could afford it obviously!

Ross and Brand is no joke.

Ross and Brand is about the last warning shot anybody will get.

Ross and Brand is peoples angst about how much people are being paid to lark about (possibly with public money).

There will be no more warning shots in my humble opinion. Fortunately we go this one.

Do you think anybody cared about such stuff a year ago?

No - they were property millionaires - they didn't need to care about such things - they were too busy.

This could have been anything. Expect a trend from here on in.

I also noted that "young people" and media types couldn't see what the fuss was about.

That is because they are looking at the wrong thing. Young people dont pick up the tab. Media types should understand more.... those advertising dollars not as good as they used to be?

Ross and Brand are a false flag story designed to take real news off the front page.

brand only resigned because it was an utter ballache to do that show anyway. He was sacked from his previous 2 jobs as well, he loves the attention

Ross will never resign. I want his head on a stake. Not because of his phone calls but because he is just consuming 18 million pounds of public money to be a complete ******** ****
