yes, he works in a bank, so what? He didn't control monetary policy did he. He was in IT - hardly selling on dodgy CDSs
I'm not sure what the point is here

Except this guy is not a "Banker" - it doesn't seem right to mock this man. I don't really like I.T. Consultants that much however this guy seems to have paid the price for other peoples mistakes. His story could quite easily happen to almost anyone.

Maybe he is setting a trend? He actually looks quite comfy. :-)
Its just a small version of of a camper van. I suppose the mobile equivalent of central London flats.

They wished their own country this way from the begining, shouting 'American dream' all the time. Sorry, but they simply cannot complain, now that they are sleeping in a van. Can they ever start saying what they need is socialism? I think not.

Wood floors throughout and off street parking - it's perfect.

He was an IT worker in a bank, not a banker. Half the viewers at the HPCrash site are IT workers. Best they make sure they have a big car.

I don`t think anyone should gloat over this guys situation.Just because the word bank is mentioned. Not every single US citizen or banker is a crook.

Well said Boltonfury. Has this site become Schadenfreude.co.uk? The comments made thus far are stupid, show some humanity the rest of you......

You are genuinely unpleasant people. Get a grip.

As theboltonfury implies, chances are he was not on a big salary and has suffered the fate of Americans when things go wrong. I don't think many of the poor in the US talk about the American Dream. What worries me is how the US way has been creeping into the UK in recent years. There but for the Grace of God ...

They could have supported more progressive political parties, which are all but extinct nowadays. Yes UK is quickly following this death trail, sadly.

Hardly! Social Security and the Client State have increased massively under Labour.
I think it's because people know the state will bail them out that they're happy to spend all their money on cars & holidays and not save for a rainy day!

this guy is an I.T worker, not a banker. Why on earth should his situation be scoffed at on HPC or indeed by anybody?

Yes, this fellow is a victim of this whole mess. The US is a scary place...you lose your job or get unwell, and you soon discover how quickly the American dream turns into the American nightmare. It disturbs me every time I see a new encroachment of their business style into countries I love and live in...it is all for the benefit of the most well off, as the Russians discovered when they let capitalism rip in their country.

This afternoon I walked past a car park full of used mimi coopers that had the name of a much disliked estate agents name written on the side of them. They were all destined for the auctioneers. Although I didn't see any estate agents living in them. What a shame......
