Cuba's unexpected arrival into the big oil league could increase pressure on the next administration

Truthseeker: 20bn barrel oil discovery puts Cuba in the big league

Friends and foes have called Cuba many things - a progressive beacon, a quixotic underdog, an oppressive tyranny - but no one has called it lucky, until now .
Mother nature, it emerged this week, appears to have blessed the island with enough oil reserves to vault it into the ranks of energy powers. The government announced there may be more than 20bn barrels of recoverable oil in offshore fields in Cuba's share of the Gulf of Mexico, more than twice the previous estimate.
If confirmed, it puts Cuba's reserves on par with those of the US and into the world's top 20. Drilling is expected to start next year by Cuba's state oil company Cubapetroleo, or Cupet.

The whole world is scanned by satellites. They know exactly how much is out there. Moving into a socialist world, russia, cuba and china are allowed to exploit reserves, but USA is not. It is ludicrous to think that cuba has more oil than USA! Shld b$20bl

When will America lift its trade embargo/invade Cuba for harbouring terrorists at Guantanamo Bay/nuclear weapons/any other made up shit. Oil in Cuba would be like America having it on tap.

I noticed papers haven't moved off the shelves today

I think most are shagged out

is that social engineering?

check out protocols and silent weapons - fairy stories with an element of reality

what is reality? - where is this leading us to?

Sometimes I do wonder if we're not being subjected to some exceptionally sophisticated Turing experiment. Either that or it's saturday night and some of us have had a little too much sauce.

renting2 - in an effort to put your mind partly at rest as best I can,

neither of your fears are justified

in the past s2r1, p4ac and myself have been accused of being the same person, or at the very least, meeting up daily in the 'Uni' bar to discuss tactics. This of course is ridiculous. We are very different but caring people.

The reality of course is that we are very different people. Different from others and different from each other.

The current economic and political pressure and extreme disinformation output, together with inhouse critisism has caused a display of individuality.

Ultimately we are all good people and I hope we can build on our strengths.

The generation gap used to be just that, the difference in age. But now with gross change the problem is much greater.

Malct, that was not a nice link to post. The post-humanists are a nonsense. Sure, we have some psycho's to kick off our backs, but we are the greatest most evolved species on earth, and we are early in our societal development. We shall prevail, god willing.
