The times, they are a changing
Firstrung: Home selling transactions now at levels not seen since the 1960's - Hometrack
A survey by property consultants Hometrack has revealed that UK house prices have fallen for a 12th consecutive month in September, suggesting the government's decision to raise the threshold for stamp duty has done little to support the ailing housing market....
The latest drop has pushed up the annual rate of decline to a record level of 6.2% for the year to the end of September. Hometrack also recorded a further fall in the number of new buyers registering with estate agents; 5.3% less people starting the 'househunting' process in September 2008 compared with August 2008.
