Maybe they need extra planes free to engineer our skies?. Just look at the skies folks, contrails should hardly happen in the hot summer, and, in the cold air, should dissipate by the time the plane is across the sky, and should not create clouds and combine to make a milky sun blocked sky. This never happened 10yrs ago.

So much for a third runway at Heathrow. Maybe they'll need it to park the unused planes....
p4ac,
I don't get it - what are you implying?

it bloody well did cos I used to love watching them
in london in 1840 there was so much smog it would have made Bejing look like an unspoilt oasis. This was long before planes, big industry, etc etc
I'm not sure of your point

And the promise of ever cheaper flights with new routes to all those off plan developments throughout Europe? Another sales bluff!

p4ac - even by your cosmic standards, you are behaving very oddly today. I am thinking of starting an HPC collection for you. It would be in the same vein as the collection to 'Save Ferris' in the iconic film of the mid 80's
