Telegraph: Hugh Hefner to sack Playboy bunnies amid financial crisis
Things must be getting really bad if Hugh Hefner is having to cut costs. If virtually all industry was wiped out by financial Armageddon, like cockroaches after a nuclear war, this is one of the industries I would expect to find crawling out from under a rock. Its not exactly the oldest profession, but speaks to the same desires. Perhaps Mr Hefner is just being shrewd,l maybe after all the turmoil is over this could be the next bubble. Imagine that, a Playboy bubble, what would that be like?

Ha ha! A playboy bubble! I'm no fan of the autostimulation industry, but it'd probably in fact be marginally less seedy that Kirstie Allsop crawling all over hapless Sheeples' wallets with cheap B&Q paint and some soggy MDF claiming that it is good business sense.

Hugh Hefner.. a role model for many an older men too exploit very young naive women. Yes Mike Livingstone, I would agree with your wanderings about why Hugh would dismiss with his damsels when in "hard-times" when cheap needs for personal gratification would be required or increase. Maybe his network of nymphs have inside information, who knows?
