actually mg just after sky news reported the drop to 34% around 8.45 this morning, the next batch of ads included a halifax promo by this plonker - I was in stitches at the time and your find makes it all the more memorable. Thank you.

I found a nice stable job which would still exist long after unemployment hit five million.
(In the Great Depression, US unemployment was very high: 25% in 1933 and still 15% by 1940. Some regions were worse-hit than others. If the UK unemployment rate hit 20%, that would mean approximately 6m people unemployed.)
