50% of the ITV Tyne Tees newsroom staff are reported to be at risk - perhaps the evening news will soon consist solely of a either GB or AD telling us "they will do everything to ensure stability"

A formerly great name in news will now become another press release cut-and-paste shop. Soon it'll be nothing but Assetz news feeds and the government's latest policy statement. In-depth journalism will be lost. It's the Metro-isation of our news media.
