Load of very interesting news that caused the US property boom...

Metacafe: Who will you vote?

A liar builds up your world, leaves with your money and your good intentions, knowing he's fooled you and walks away. He's proud of what he's done, building his and his friends' fortunes on the backs of people he's duped. Load of very interesting news that caused the US property boom...

This is the failure of neo-liberalism. Where did the commies go when the wall fell, they started calling themselves progressives and liberals.

Its not their fault though. Its ours, we wanted to believe their easy answers built on crazy credit. Their endless spending on feel good programs.
Their endless interference in other countries based on "liberal values". It was just all the cold war commies trying to find a new niche.

Hey time for us to all get off the government teat and take responsibility for our own lives.

Well, as a piece of Republican propaganda - it certainly does the trick. However, slating Obama is not the way to get people to vote for McCain. How about voting Green or maybe listening to Ron Paul?

Ok, malct.

1. Join a political party.
2. Actually pitch at the meetings.
3. Get involved in local elections and policy making at that level.
4. Go door to door.
5. Get elected.
6. Take your ideas into the government, argue with people.
7. Do it now.

Learn politics and change the system. The idea that you are powerless is the first big barrier to overcome. Once you realize what difference you can make, you are on your way. The idea, "politicians are all crooks" is a great way of destroying democracy.

There is no quick fix, dig down deep, pay the price. You want a better life for your kids, you pay in advance. The great thing about politics is that no matter how wacky you are there are people out there who agree with you.

What you probably wanted me to say is, there is no way. No, its actually really simple, but its a really hard work. There is no quick way, that doesn't involve lots of hard graft. No magic number you can jiggle that will make people do the right thing (like raising or lower interest rates). However if we all are trying, then the better the chances we have together. This country is great and has been great because of people like that at every level. Democracy is exactly what it says on the tin. I think we have got exactly the government we deserve.

It is absolutely fixable.

This is all very well but the Republicans have been involved in it too.Google Bush's Ownership society and you will see the same ideas rebadged. Truth may be the same over there as here : all the main political parties have been pushing homeownership as a straight bribe to get elected, the advantage being people are bribed with their own money. This racket starts off over here with the Conservatives: Labour's offer to the working stiff was a council house and dead-end job for a long time after the Tories were pushing their new line.

Honestly I think we need more...honesty, first of all the politics should love their own country and their own people, they should be inspired by a strict rule of good morality, what we've got? What we're?
Sad world, better to wait for the next golden age....
cheers

@doomwatch

Its as free as *you* make it. Look at the number of people who bother to vote. If you are lazy, you will be oppressed and rightly so.
