A year ago they couldn’t predict their bankruptcy but were predicting the climate 100 years ahead

Icecap: Lehman Brothers Close Ties to Gore, Hansen and Carbon Trading

Al Gore’s carbon trading business GIM was banked with Lehman Bros. It will be interesting to see how this will play in the future but I suspect that this increases the risk of participating in Carbon trading. Merrill Lynch, was also deeply involved in this business.
Last year Lehman Brothers released a long and highly publicized report about climate change in which they preached about decarbonization, trying to make their investors keep getting high profits from the Kyoto carbon trade scheme and the support of huge public subventions. All that, of course, with the applause of the usual choir of politicians, the entire media and the Greens.

The Weekly Asahi (15/Aug/08) affiliated to the Asahi Shinbun (one of the quality national papers in Japan) revealed that Generation Investment deemed to be Al Gore's investment arm had massive stake in GE, a major nuclear plants manufacturer. The world sees no shortage of professional conmen, particularly among the top political circle, not least our Silky Teflon.

The irony here is delicious.

The bad news is that greenies are going to get discredited and lots of them are actually very descent and have good ideas for making industry better for everyone. And its all thanks to the inconvenient truth that Al Gore is a complete shyster, but hey, we all knew that right? Oh, I forgot about the American left...

Greeniks are fine, as long as they would not twist the logic into 'more nuclear powers', but wind power, solar power, geothermal power, etc., as it is perfectly true that we must get rid of fossil energy generating a plethora of harzardous substances besides CO2.

Gore's managed to make over $100bn from climate change, in particular carbon trading and biofuels, both of which have zero impact on carbon emissions - in fact the latter is the worse than oil. He is an absolute charlatan.

The sunspot cycle could go into cooling mode as soon as 2010.

Clobal warming could have peaked in 2007 thanks to all the Chem trail planes droping their "substances" and filling the skies with "cloud" particles.
I live in the South of England and these planes have been rampant in the skies this summer.

What am I talking about?

The UK governemnt admitted "Millions were in germ war tests" in the Guardian in 2002

It is happening again and no-one gives a sh*t.
Well they might when oil goes to $400 and temperatures crash in the winter 2010.

p4ac, funny how your graph showing the correlation between sunspots and temperature @ 9 finishes at 1980. Do you know what it looks like past 1980?

http://www.goglobalwarmingawareness2007.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/03/temperature-vs-co2-vs-sunspots.gif

Also bear in mind, that while people and governments will try to make money out of global warming (that's human nature unfortunately), far more people (i.e. quite few large industries) stand to LOOSE vast sums of money if policy is put in place to restrict CO2.

Only another 60000 years and there'll be another glacial period anyway. 2km of ice above scotland and a large portion of england and wales isn't going to do much for the price of houses. And if you southern pansies think you're going to be ok - just think about all the melt water coming down your floodplains every summer.

Denzil and Buctootim, you cite cliche's that have been used to condition people against using real language, so, everything that criticizes the government story becomes "Conspiracy Theory" or "Tin Foil Hat". Its rather like the animals in Animal Farm by George Orwell, who condensed their belief system into four legs good, two legs bad, or, newspeak in George Orwell's book, 1984, where the Ministry of Truth doctors the dictionary to eliminate words associated with lines of reason that go counter to government propaganda. It may be a good idea to learn to think for yourself. At least go beyond the cliche's and look at the evidence! Note that George Orwell was part of the civil service elite who bailed out when he uncovered that Russia was being propped up because the plan all along was to merge the Soviet and Western Fiat Capitalist systems, which is what we see occurring today, with the Marxist/Capitalist system of globally co-ordinated central banking and an economy, etc. run by unelected quango's and committee's.

oops, so sorry didn't mean to cause such a fuss.

I simply intended to highlight the range of potential consequences arising from recent events.

For what it's worth I was with Greenpeace, Friends of the Earth and the Ecology Party in the late 70's whilst serving Her Majesty in the Royal Airforce. Both the RAF and the Greens were used and abused then as now. Currently, I don't like the way 'we the people' are being made to feel guilt about climate change and the way our armed forces are once again being abused piling up more debt for our offspring. All things and all people are rarely what they seem and usually more complicated than we want them to be. imho

So, tin-foil hat is part of conditioning and a distraction to stop people using real language! I'll update the wikipedia entry today. Can I quote you, because I think people should understand the deeper meaning behind tin-foil hat.

While I agree that a large percentage of what we're told is either completely false or modified for "our own good" I think you're wrong on the climate conspiracy. Aspects of it might well be exaggerated for whatever reason (or even under played) but the planet is, in my opinion, suffering from industry, deforestation and waste management.

At least go beyond the cliche's and look at the evidence!" - The thing about cliches is that, in an enormous amount of cases, they have a basis in truth. Most of what Ron Paul and David Icke insist are truth are just another bunch of cliches.

Climate change is happenning - maybe it's sunspots, maybe it's the nearly 7 billion of us using the place as a dustbin and burning and looting our natural resources as fast as we can.

I suspect that if p4ac, s2r1 and others cases were proved 100% correct, they would instantly find another reason not believe any of the cliches they proposed as truth.

I personally think that everything is a lie....Except the one that says I'm a damn good chap and still have a 30" waist.

I would like to stand up for p4c. Quite clearly he's an idealist and feels strognly about the issues he talks about.

As for myself, I don't know where the truth lies, but personally I do feel that the sun and not the CO2 (which is not a poison), is responsible for warming the earth. But I leave it to the scientists to debate the issues here.
One thing that I am absolutely sure about is that adhering to the insane Kyoto protocol, far from improving the climate, will cause massive unemployment in industrialised nations, and most importantly prevent the development of industry in the non industrialised places. Thus ensuring that Africa remains the mess it is with no light at the end of the tunnel.
I believe the sunspot theory, I am quite sure that temperature will decrease and we are heading for recor winters.
I mean the other day here in Italy they showed pictures of polar bears on ice in the North Pole, sayin that they are dying and that the ice is thinning and breaking. But how do I know it's the North Pole for starters? How do I know it's not just footage from some past documentary? And how do I know that I am not being blatantly lied to?
After all it would not be the first time the media manufactures a story - look at the Georgian war on Ossetia and how our msm managed to make Russia look like the aggressor. Goebbels was a novice compared to the media tycoons of today.

Handle It, Re the environment. Yes, we treat the place like a dustbin, well, mainly the corporations and our governments. Many of the other issues are real, but the green movement has been hijacked by the establishment to fear us into giving away yet more liberties and pay yet more cash, whilst they go on their merry way, causing real environmental degradation. Its all over. Like how we are made to feel guilty about using a useful plastic bag, whilst the supermarket decides to triple shrink wrap and add additional layers of cardboard and cellophane with expanded polystyrene just for a piece of fruit. Then we are made to feel guilty by OUR government for having full bins! You first, I say to the corporations, you first.

Rotton Tomato. They don't tell you that Polar Bears can swim up to 250miles. To think that they are killed by ice flows!!! They are adapted to the polar regions, ice flows break off every summer, always have, always will, and Polar Bears will continue to swim to safety, as they always have and always will. Polar bear numbers are booming at present! As S2R said, Arctic ice up a whopping THIRTY PERCENT this year, in response to there being a dearth of sunspots.

Well, it is rather suspect that most of the proposed "solutions" do not impact on emissions and are about controlling consumer choice. Gore and Blair's carbon ration scheme would see levels of government control over an individual's freedom of movement and purchasing power that would even have been unimaginable in stalinist russia.
