Unemployment

BBC: Jobless total up as economy slows

The number of people out of work rose by 60,000 in the three months to June, taking the official unemployment rate to 5.4%, official figures showed.
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) said unemployment increased to 1.67 million between April and June.

If you look at the source document from ONS it also shows a big drop in productivity and correspondingly higher unit wage costs.
(UK productivity being largely determined by the cost of importing things from China). This doesn't bode too well for the future.

.....interesting that China has seen retail sales jump this last month based on increasing incomes, wonder where that new money will come from, bye bye cheap Chinese tat, hello much more expensive Chinese tat.

as we know real unemployment is much higher than 5.4%. wait for the city yups registering in drove when they find out NO one will hire them.
