The references in the BBC article to Northern Rock being a victim of the credit crunch have been removed.
BBC 'News': BBC caught rewriting old articles
The link goes to the posting on this site a few days ago, covering the original BBC article. In what seems to be a new chapter in the UK state media's battle to save face for the government, the BBC have rewritten an article expressing sympathy for Northern Rock employees, and portraying The Crock as a victim rather than a perpetrator in the credit crunch. Check the HP posters' quotes taken from the original article and compare to the version currently on the website. The BBC are now able to suggest that in light of the losses announced, the BBC never portrayed themselves as symapthetic to Northern Rock, when the opposite is the truth.
Unfortunately Revisionista did not pick up the changes, probably because the BBC are trying to subvert detection of their revisions.

The BBC is day-by-day becoming more and more of a joke. The serve whichever guv'mint is in at the time. The are constantly running scared of the guv'mint removing it's funding and the final straw for me was the 45 minutes and Dr David Kelly affair.
What's even worse is the general population seems oblivious to the facts that they are being fed propaganda and having to pay nearly £140 for the priveldge! The BBC seems ingrained in he nations psyche but then again their are millions and millions of saps who watch tripe like Eastenders because their lives are not sad enough already!
In the words of the Private James Frazer, "We're doomed, I tell ye, doomed!"

Indeed. That changed the BBC for ever. They used to be even-handed (if not unbiased), but after the dust settled from that affair, the BBC became New Labours Little Lapdog.
If you want an interesting read, go back and look through the BBC online's reporting of LibDem MP Norman Baker's quest to uncover whatever has been hidden about the affair - the BBC labels him a conspiracist, and conveniently marginalises his efforts by adding his campaign to Roswell conspiracy and WTC theories in the BBC series "The Conspiracy Files".
Norman Baker's parliamentary office had PC disks wiped shortly afterwards.
Appalling behaviour by both MI6 and the BBC. http://www.blairwatch.co.uk/node/1217

I am not a a conspiraloon, "I think, hey are who is that watching me? ;-)". But seriously I have found BBC reporting so obviously biased (to the liberal left agenda) under NuLabour that I have almost completely tuned it out over the last 5 years. Also the antics of BBC reporters in America weaseling their way into situations with Americans who trust their integrity and then doing a completely duplicitous expose is appalling. They have really given the BBC a really bad name all over the World. I think the Russians are actively knocking them on the head when they try to get into places like Chechnya. I can't say I blame them, they are not going to tell the story from the Russian perspective.
Then there is the way they interview African leaders as though they are complete numb-skulls. I could go on, they are just so appalling its embarrassing. Its like watching the students from the "Socialist Worker" society at university twisting everything so that Lenin is the Heroic figure -- its embarrassing, extremely cringe-worthy. This is our "National" broadcaster and I have to pay towards it. Hopefully a government change will restore some basic integrity. Sack the lot of them is what I say, make them get a real job.
But then again, I like Boris and the free wheeling, politically incorrect style of the spectator :-).

"I have found BBC reporting so obviously biased (to the liberal left agenda) under NuLabour " - Unfortunately under the tories they cow-towed to their sometimes extremely right-wing agenda. Just take a look at the cruise missile crisis, the minors strike and how they represented the new age travellers.
"Hopefully a government change will restore some basic integrity. " - I very much doubt it, they think they already have integrity coming out the ears! Faultless Antie Beeb. Looking after the nation and disseminating all manner of blather that the guv'mint of the day wants us to hear! All through the olympics we're gonna hear so much about the chinese government being very bad people (they are), whilst our own government almost never put a foot wrong (they can't find the foot because they swallowed the whole bleedin leg trying to get it in their collective gob)!

The left and right are all paid up members of the corporate establishment. All financied by the banks, military complex and big pharma corporations. The left right paradigm is a dupe. It is a control mechanism to make us feel that democracy means something. Until we have the option of liberty and freedom, I'm not interested in supporting politicians or the mainstream media. What we should be interested in is taking over politics and media. Let them know that their jobs are at risk!
