Wall Street Journal: Mortgage-Market Trouble Reaches Big Credit Unions
This is a front page story at the Wall Street Journal in the US. The long and short of it is that huge losses are lurking in credit unions in the US. These are supposedly safe building society-like institutions which are quite conservative. But, they have lost so much, they may be wiped out.
