Lost World
BBC: From boom town to ghost town
More than 13,500 apartments were built on this area of scrubland. But less than 3,000 have been sold. Drifting along the empty streets and deserted playgrounds the eerie silence is occasionally broken by the slow creaking of an unused swing.

QUOTE -- David Busby, from Lancashire, bought a property on the outskirts of Marbella six years ago. Bought off the plans it took more than four years to complete and now he is struggling to find a tenant.
What was once his dream retirement home is now his Spanish nightmare.
"We were looking for an investment for our retirement, but so far we've lost £90,000," says Mr Busby.

Around £70k - £80k for a two-bed flat. Not too bad, if this is the price in the UK, but Spain? Wait until it becomes completely worthless.

I thought it was going to be a story about new-build flats in Liverpool or Sheffield. But then again there are no nice amenities like playgrounds near those new-builds.

LOL! those are attractive flats... What was this nobber thinking of? How many other Brits have been suckered into buying soul-less carbuncles in semi-arid dusty hell-holes like this?!?
I'm actually starting to feel sorry for these idiots as they seem to have left their brain at the door when going to these off-plan seminars. It's Time-shares all over again.
