Daily Express: HOME LOANS GET CHEAPER AT LAST
Property experts also expect there to be increasing choice as the mortgage drought which has frozen the housing market since the onset of the credit-crunch starts to ease. Ray Boulger, of mortgage broker Charcol, said: “We’ve now got lenders competing with each other on rates to get more business.”

Are we about to embark upon a series of Express headlines of "interest rates down" v "Interest rates up" to rival their House prices up House prices down regular headline?
Before the bulls carried away, the downward movement on rates is miniscule - see www.emoneyfacts.co.uk/news/mortgage-news.aspx for full details

Well hurray for 25% deposits.
Given that an average FTB couple might be able to scrape £20,000 together while renting for a few years (and forsaking all worldly pleasures), that brings the average FTB house down to £80,000.

There's a big team of enthusiastic people somewhere doing the writing, typesetting and printing for this drivel. I wonder where they are, and if they are allowed to talk to people outside the office? Or do they just sit there and make stuff up because they're not allowed out without their parents?
