Why so long in the face Kirsty - 'cause by my own admission I'm a one trick pony and now the rabbits out of the hat.
So she thinks people should be able to buy as many houses as they like and stopping it wouldn't have any effect in Cornish areas where house prices are as much as 20 times the average wage (due to holiday homes). However stopping stamp duty on sub 250k houses for first time buyers will make everything ok.
And the conservatives are taking advise from this woman - God help us.
Kirsty you are barking mad - but a very clever vested interest I'll give you that much.
I'd love to know what you said to get and how much you're being paid for the job of advising the Conservatives.

str 2007, off topic but a quick update on the repo house down the road from me. It was on at £167k before christmas. Fell to £150k but was repossesed. The EA's had it back on at £140k a couple of weeks back. It had some interest but no sold sign. My neighbour tells me that it is now on at £135k and it had a new surge of interest over the weekend....still no sold sign though.
My prediction is that similar houses will be going somewhere between £80-100k in a year or so.

This made me laugh and laugh, very funny stream of consciousness stuff. We should have someone dress up as Krusty at the party and eat a fake hat and film it and put it on you tube.

last days of disco
Oh I could go on and on check this out :-
"cause by my own admission I'm a one trick pony and now the rabbits out of the hat - and those horrible people at HousePriceCrash are going to make me eat that hat at their party" and it might have rabbit poo in it and I'm allergic to grass that's been through the digestive system of a fluffy white thing, oh things used to be so much better when my houses just used to go up in value every month and everyone thought I was clever and now it's all horrible and everyone knows I'm not clever a tall now. I wonder how many callories there are in a hat anyway, I hope they let me put mayo on it ...................
Did you actually watch the video - I can't believe anyone with a brain actually takes her seriously.

I think it would be best if the Tories just quietly drop her. She really is yesterday's woman now.

Who on earth made her an "expert"?
I've heard the phrase "dumming down" - but that's just taking it too far.

HPC comes to Eastenders! - Did anyone else else notice on last night's episode? Ian Beale couldn't resist buying a "bargain" flat, by remortgaging his house. His wife was well annoyed, saying don't you read the papers, there's a crash on? At least Eastenders scriptwriters are in touch with reality. Bets for Beale going bankrupt in a few years time?

a saver
I must admit I don't watch Eastenders, perhaps I should start.
Perhaps I could get a job as a continuity writer - to make sure they get the numbers right when he goes bust.
An opportunity for the sheeple (present company accepted) to learn about leverage in reverse and LTV's.

str 2007, it's south Leicestershire. It looks like my neighbour has it wrong unless it's on with another agent too. It's still on at ~ £140k on rightmove. See
