Law Firms Gear Up -- and Wait --For Anticipated Bankruptcies

Dollarcollapse: The Wall Street Journal Senses That Something is Wrong

A subscription to the Wall Street Journal costs several hundred dollars a year, so most people out there don’t get it and DollarCollapse.com rarely posts links to its articles. But everybody should see today's edition, which probably sets the modern-day record for disturbing headlines. Here's a sampling of what subscribers read this(sorry wednesday) morning:
Real-Estate Financier's Death Hints At Trouble for Lenders
Flamboyant real-estate financier Scott Coles penned a farewell letter, put on a tuxedo and climbed into bed, where he was later found dead in what police believe was a suicide.

While this website might well be a handy source of news, but look at the ads down the side - 'the collapse of the dollar and how to profit from it' as an example. So profiting from the authors who seek to profit from the people buying their books, who want to profit from the misery of an economic collapse.....

Ethics overcoming power indeed.

Laughable. The link at the bottom proclaims "BUY GOLD AND SILVER ONLINE AT GOLDMONEY". No hidden agenda here then.

Guy's this might simply be a case of google ads - see the various ads appearing on HPC today - eg sell and rent back scheme - "North East's Ethical Rent Back Experts Are Here To Help You"

chaps we're off again - you are missing the point and not taking advantage of the opportunity.

THE LINK IS A SOURCE TO A SERIES OF CURRENT AND RELEVANT ARTICLES FROM THE WALL STREET JOURNAL

which is otherwise not accessable to many people. You're so deep into moaning you look a gift horse in the mouth. Sad.

malct,

Precisely. Whatever the site's VIs it doesn't change the content of the articles. Or are we suggesting that the selection of articles is unrepresentatively gloomy because they missed all the false-alarm-everything's-going-to-be-all-right headlines. Just how many of them do we think there were?

Well, there it is malct. Ever heard the story of the Boy who cried Wolf? You (and p4c and the in-bred etc.) have got such a reputation for posting irrelevant cack on HPC that when you think you have found something relevant, no-one wants to listen. Post on-topic articles rather than your own introspective world-view and people might just accord your posts some respect -- as opposed to just laughing at you. Sad indeed, eh?

We seem to have a case of selective scepticism here, We're sceptical of property websites with their VI spin and unrepresentative reporting, but we'll believe anything we see on a website that clearly encourages gold speculation.

davip,

To be fair malct nearly always posts far better articles than s2r1 or p4ac. In the early days he posted some nonsense too, but he seems to have learned quickly from this site, as so many of us have (myself included).

Scuse me Davip (I assume your real name is David, but clearly you're unable to spell your own name) I have been posting on here for about 5 years, and I don't consider it to be irrelevant cack. I haven't seen your name on here before and I must say your first post isn't exactly informative is it. Can I suggest you sod off.

Well in-bred, if YOU don't consider your own thoughts cack then they musn't be. If you have the ability to search through the archive, you'll find that I have made many posts here over time. Yes, davip is my user name -- just as I expect 'inbreda' isn't your real name -- unless you really like your sister a lot. Suggest all you like, you introspective fool!

Well Done and Well said....... and you certainly can.suggest this ..................... Every time I go to look for informed comments, I come across this pathetic moaning that has absolutely no relevance to the article whatsoever. It's like some kind of ritual or witch-hunt. It's become so obvious as to be an embarrassing example of limited intelligence with an intent to destroy.

hey steady on drewster and inbreda, I've got a bad reputation to look after!

and you really don't want to get caught up in the bad stuff that's flying around.

On the other hand, thank you for the moral support, humour and positive attitude.

On the other other hand we don't even know if davip is a person do we?

Drewster - that's because the webmasters control the site. I've had my password disabled and re-enabled several times. As soon as I step too far WACK - I'm gone. oops! sorry mate no offense. Your call. I mean people should know this.

but he seems to have learned quickly from this site, as so many of us have - very true - isn't that why we're here?

It's so nice to such a pluralistic and diverse approach to opinions we don't like, in't it?

I don't follow the association with the Wall Street Journal. None of the information on the page referenced actually links to articles on the journal (how could it, of course.). So is the point that it is being particularly bear-ish? Or is the point that it's a financial news sheet reporting the news? Or is the point to get us onto a goldbug site? Wait allow me to answer....

fubar, you hopeless know nothing - how dare you... why don't you sod off... I've been posting here since it was an ARPANET node.... you whining fact checker. etc etc.

Bunch of tools.

The point you seem to be missing fubar, is that I really don't think I write "cack" posts, other than to rebut implications that I do.

Go back over all my comments for the last 5 years. In the main I've either tried to be funny or make serious comment. I dispute the assertion that I have posted cack.

You and Davip on the other hand have contributed pretty much nothing.
