Got Gold?
Safe Haven: The Dow-Crash, The Dollar, Gold, and WAR!
So, the world is now faced by an America that claims it wants to "spread democracy" while using its military to tyrannize countries that simply want to sell their oil for another currency. America has become what she always claims to be opposed to: an absolute tyranny that no longer even cloaks itself. Not surprising, given the role assigned to her by her globalist masters in ushering in the preconditions for eventual total centralization.

'Correct me if I'm wrong, but no wars have been fought over gold and access to gold' - I am afraid that, in fact, lots of wars have been fought over gold and access to gold. Piracy in the caribbean anyone? The whole colonisation drive into America was to deliver taxes & treasure - in the form of gold, largely - to European nations. I understand that the British colonialism throughout large parts of Africa was to move gold and diamonds and other commodities - available in abundance in southern african nations - to Europe, by rail, because at the time there were no planes. Gold (and oil) have real actual value, and money is a control/access layer that sits on top of it; control of the underlying resource is vital and cannot be disociated from it.

it's the economy stupid!
from the article
The War Currency
Wars are rarely fought over national security issues, as political leaders often claim. At rock bottom, they are mostly fought over economic issues. Iraq and Iran . . . . . are also the only two oil-producing countries that ever went off the petrodollar. . .
. . . There goes the "national security" rationalization for this planned attack.
This fact exposes the attacks for what they really are. tools of US monetary policy. The dollar has no real value internationally, save for the fact that the now militarily enforced necessity for countries to buy dollars in order to buy oil creates artificial demand.
The euro's existence threatens all of this, now. Oil countries have a dollar-alternative in the euro, and so does the rest of the world.

Gold has value if it is seen as a safe haven - hence the number of articles, websites and VIs holding gold promoting it as such.
Look at it in the same way as the BTL phenomenon, intended to do exactly the same thing.
People are desperately searching for a reliable place for their monetary wealth - perhaps those that are in debt, with no assets, are really the ones that see the true value of money - i.e. none.

janice @ 07:57AM but just turned up - if you get a password (free) you can post your odd comments real time like james doesn't either. odd.
consider the real gold
'black gold' is embedded in our complex global food systems, in its fertilisers, the mechanisation necessary for its production, its transportation and its packaging.
For example, to farm a single cow and deliver it to market requires the equivalent of six barrels of oil - enough to drive a car from New York to LA.

Malct - which is why we should be looking at things like local sourcing of food from small businesses, rather than getting all worked up about whether or not oil/energy is peaking/supressed/manipulated or whatever. Fiddling while Rome burns. As I have said before, we start doing things for ourselves and rejecting the way our society works and we are far more effective in combatting the 'elite' than in any internet 'information war'.
The solution to all our big problems is really simple - concentrate on the important things in your life - family, friends, knowledge, the simple pleasures - do less, in other words, and all these other problems of overwork, stress, pollution, hunger, money, investments, government, all suddenly become less important and have less affect on you.
If money/gold/etc. is your frame of reference for wealth and everything else, you will always be answerable to those who control it and never truly free.

shipbuilder - couldn't agree more - here's one bloke who's trying to convince others that there is a way out - he's a clinical psychologist

On the money
Americans and Britons have the highest rates of mental illness. But why? An obsession with wealth has led to an 'Affluenza' epidemic, says Oliver James
The Affluenza virus is a set of values which increase our vulnerability to psychological distress: placing a high value on acquiring money and possessions, looking good in the eyes of others and wanting to be famous. Many studies have shown that infection with the virus increases your susceptibility to the commonest mental illnesses: depression, anxiety, substance abuse and personality disorder.

@Janice -- lizards; hilarious!
We can only wonder why these fools and their mouthpieces don't take their issues and introspections to some NWO / anti-US / globalisation / whatever conspiracy site. Their idiot pronouncements have drawn comment in the wider press more than once, suggesting that this site is just full of nutters.

Janice, the elite say one thing and mean the opposite. Now, no doubt Icke is not a left gatekeeper BUT, the Lizard thing is a fraud.
The Lizard Brain sits at the base of the skull and is responsible for processing of sensory information and instinctive response, sex, hunger, shelter, etc. It is called the Lizard Brain because this is how Lizard's think. It is the aim of the establishment to keep us in the Lizard Brain. Hense all the flouride, murcury vaccinations, TV, un-nutritious and poinsonous food, chlorine and heavy metals in the water, chemtrails, I could go on. So, when the elite say that they are lizards, the invert meaning, and allude to the fact that they are masters of the Lizards, i.e. you and I. They do this with all their symbols.

Scroogle.org Lizard Brain and you will see good articles on it. The opposite is delayed judgement, seen in the cerebral cortex. If we stay there too long, we realise the web spun for us and will start to demand sound money, and end to war and corruption, etc. so the only way they can sustain their scam is to keep us dumbed down. You know that the US government released reports stating that Flouride and Aspartame cut human IQ by approx 20points?

They know its bad for us. They choose to not ban it. Its called eugenics.

But seriously, do some research on the stuff that is dumbing us down and killing us. Cancer rates are 1 in 4 now, they were 1 in 16 only a few decades ago, oh, yer, I forgot to say, its a conspiracy, oh, you can't protect your health p-doff, because its a conspiracy.

P4C -- no-one is particularly averse to your sentiments -- they are just tired of seeing them voiced here and the derision it brings to this site. There are thousands of internet sites out there specifically geared to your kind of goombah -- why don't yoU go there?
I also have concerns regarding the state of the human lot and, as a research geologist investigating planetary climate change, an objective perspective on the outcome -- but I don't voice then here, anymore than I would on acountancy websites or those geared towards motherhood.
IT'S GOT NOTHING TO DO WITH HOUSE PRICES -- WHY DON'T YOU GET IT?
