BEEB: Supermarkets reduce petrol prices

UK drivers are set to benefit after a number of supermarkets said they would lower the price of petrol.

there is a catch some expect you to shop at the supermarket first for a discount voucher, so not really a discount!!

Oil is down 12 dollars since last week, thats about 8% so I would expect pump prices to fall 8%

about 10p.... yea right!


P.S. My scripting is awful, the first post should include a live link to oil prices, but for some reason it does not appear.

The tax is still the same cost as before, and the refinery and distribution costs are still the same as before, so it won't go down by the same % as crude went down, just like it didn't go up by the same % as crude when it went up.
