comparing 1907 with 2008
You tube: The Great Panic of 2008
Interesting video comparing the Panic of 1907 with the Credit Crunch of 2008. As many know the panic of 1907 was engineered to pave the way for the creation of the Federal Reserve. After the big crash this autumn will we see more calls for a single world currency?

The points that are made are good, but the delivery is awful.

How would a single world currency mitigate the the conditions which gave rise to the credit crunch?
How could a single world currency be even a remote possibility in the current political world?
What tosh!

We're probably further away from a world currency than we've ever been. Can you imagine the Russians or the EU power base even considering it, or anyone wanting Zimbabwe's problems as their own?

Actually, there used to be a universal world currency based on gold and silver - it will return. Of course what Berkyankee and co have in mind is a fiat world currency which would be a disaster (as all fiat currencies end up being).

Is anyone going to draw attention to the retardness of the above statement??

Not sure Gold Silver will return as Gordon Brown has sold off most of ours.
He will rely upon the fiat system.

In the United States a century later, John Pierpont Morgan again used rumor and innuendo to create a panic that would change the course of history. The panic of 1907 was triggered by rumors that two major banks were about to become insolvent. Later evidence pointed to the House of Morgan as the source of the rumors. The public, believing the rumors, proceeded to make them come true by staging a run on the banks. Morgan then nobly stepped in to avert the panic by importing $100 million in gold from his European sources. The public thus became convinced that the country needed a central banking system to stop future panics, overcoming strong congressional opposition to any bill allowing the nation’s money to be issued by a private central bank controlled by Wall Street; and the Federal Reserve Act was passed in 1913
This technique of "Problem-Reation-Solution" is used all the time.

Drewster,
Don't worry - it's a tedious, half-educated rant - I gave up on it

Yes... a fake James getting the word wrong. Suspect s2r1 or malct's up to some sockpuppetry.

Uncle Tom -
It's harder to construct a decent argument in text than in a video. Videos can get away with emotive music and distorted soundbites, whereas written arguments have to be precise. A transcript would make a critical analysis far easier.

jonb,
Agree 100%. Let's also add the Alex Jones conspiracy-nutter websites to the exclusion list (PrisonPlanet, InfoWars, GlobalResearch).
