Bit of an old article this. It seems, though, we can add Grant Bovey (sounds like a 3rd rate actor's name) to our list of property pillocks.

Nice little hopeful article and understandably so under the circumstances. The name of his Company could turn out to be a profoundly prophetic phrase. Any businessman who can survive this one has got to be brilliant. So we will see in due time.

BTL might follow the endowment mortgage into the dustbin of history (for a while anyway).

"Put simply, what has occurred has taken everybody by surprise and, because it has been triggered by a sequence of events that no one had previously encountered, the solution has been far more difficult to find, as there is no point of reference"

It has caught out those who believed that houses only go up in price, and that cheap credit is a right not a privilage. You have to be a pretty poor businessman not to make money in a rising market. The wise money was out last year and does not keep carping on about how we are set for a recovery.

"Grant Bovey name damaged beyond repair" say buy-to-let landlords.

Letthemfall, it's not a third rate actor's name, it's a daft-sounding place name>/a>.
