FTAdviser: House prices tumble 1.2 per cent in June
This tumble in prices equates to an average reduction of £3,000 a week. London has taken the biggest average, with asking prices having dropped by £4,500 or 1.4 per cent in June. The average house price in the capital now stands at £399,010, down from £404,541 in May.

£3000 a week is an awful lot of money. Try working out for yourself, how long it would take to earn £3000 after taxes, or more important, how long it would take you to pay back £3000 on a mortgage, particularly if you are a FTB. We have maybe become a bit blase about percentages. I hope we will not do the same about real money.

yeah - and the rest - they are dropping faster than that more like 2.5% minimum which is over £6000.

That "£3000 a week" is of course wildly overstated. Even "£3,000 a month" is probably too high.
According to Haliwide, prices are falling about 1% per month = £500-odd per week.
But good stuff nonetheless!
