Taylor Wimpey - cut head count by 10%
Express and Star: Homebuilder axes 600 jobs
Around 600 jobs, including dozens in Wolverhampton, are being shed by a major homebuilder due to the slump in the housing market.
Bryant North Midlands is part of the country’s second-biggest builder Taylor Wimpey, which is closing 13 of its 39 offices across the country.

I know its been said before. Can't they just lower prices to provide sensible profits, and keep jobs and sales going.
I seem to remember in the dim and distant past, it was a third of price for land, third of price for build and a third of price was profit.
They buy up farms, so the cost per plot is nothing excessive.
