S2R1

The Gold price has taken a dip this week. Do you think Techeman is right that we will see further lows before new highs?

I'm taking a back seat as far as HPC goes. Mainly because all the excitement was in the prediction. Now it's no longer a prediction, one can only really expand on the wider picture it is part of. Or to some extent gloat.
Of course I contnue to read most of the posts and it's all 'educating' as such.
This is a particularly good article in that it is simple to understand and makes for a clearer picture overall. This is an important point to consider as I am sure there are many readers of this sight who cannot get bogged down in academic and detailed technicalities without getting lost. Indeed in some cases they probably feel out of place and attention is lost.
So : Great post and contribution.

I quite enjoyed that. Not as good as the sound track about inflation tho, that was great stuff.

Originally dated March 2008 - but good graphs (oil gold US$):

Are we nearing the greed - delusion phase, and can we survive it?

Very good, very informative.

Interesting that Wikipedia has the government-friendly definition of inflation. I wonder how long it would stay on-site if someone posted the correct, Misesian explanation. 5 minutes?

rocket robbie,

$875 is a pounding today
gold/oil ratio is at 6.8.

870 is key support.
I am waiting for gold to detatch from oil as the hot money flows from one to the other.
I aint selling nothing today.
Hang in there.

rocket robbie,

The weak hands are being flushed out - ready for the next gold upleg.
It needs this in order to blast through $950 in the next week or so.

No one said it would be an easy ride. Roller coaster all the way.
