If he is so confident the only way is up why is he looking for fund manager backing for distressed residential property sales (I dont buy the we are in it for the long term argument)

Halifax Prices...

A drop of 4% between August 2007 and March 2008
A 1.3% drop in March year on year (the first year on year drop since January 1996)
A 2.5% drop in March month on month

Even if the market does nothing month on month from April to December 2008, there will be year on year falls.

Was this prediction made just recently? That panel reference is talking about something from a few months ago.

That fund refers to him buying up the repossessed at a discount, something that can haooen even if the market stabilises. The difference is that he thinks he has predicted the bottom and we know he hasn't a clue.
