Rosie Millard: No more spend, spend, spend

BBC: This Week

9 mins 30 secs in. Rosie Millard has a "package" on how the middle classes are suffering. She's then
on the sofa with Charles Kennedy bleating on about her £50,000 debts and worried about her
mortgage reset coming up in October. She neglected to mention her BTL portfolio for some reason.
When Charles Kennedy started saying the root of the problem was the commedy mortgages given
out at the behest of the banks and that common sense has been telling people (even his junior staff)
"for years" this is wrong, Andrew Neil seemed to cut him off.

She could always try being an escort or pole dancer.. or maybe she missed the boat on that one too.

I watched that and I thought the BTL point was conspicuous by it's absence.

Like millions of people in this country, she has lived the dream and now it's time to pay the price. The family income must be well above the UK average and I bet her and her husband have university educations. If they're too stupid or greedy (or both) to realise that you cannot live outside your means indefinitely then I hope they feel some pain. Sad thing is the level of stupidity or greed (or both) shown by a huge proportion of the people in this country will ensure we all feel that pain.

All a bit long on words and short on content (IMHO) - other than the bit about the "Brown economy"

Just a technical point bystander... It's not Millard or Krusty who are the coyotes here. The coyotes would be the ones gnawing off their own bodyparts to avoid the two of them.
