Apparently she is planning to make a career out of her personal financial misfortune. What a formidable woman! I bet she will write a book on this subject 'How to survive the 21st century version of the Great Depression ', and she will kep being busy for the next whole decade, I reckon.

A nasty piece of work, only a few months ago gloating about the flipping of homes (a basic necessity and human right) in the Times.
I think the lead role in 'Cathy Come Home' (not as the landlord/lady) would be good for her!

This "AHHHAHHH HAHAHHAHAH HAHHAH HAHAHHA" crap is getting very annoying. Why don't you keep the comments restricted to a precis of the salient facts in the article you are linking?
No wonder we have a bad reputation with the media and non-users.

PS - Japanese Uncle, yes, but she'll only be successful if people like conf76 continue to be obsessed with talking about her.

"it’s not about eating powdered egg or sitting in the dark or getting out a basin and modelling your coiffure around it. It is about searching out cheaper options for enjoyable living, so you are ready for the credit crunch when it comes."
Rosie, you are so last July!

Seems a bit stupid baking cakes to save money - it's more expensive than buying from a supermarket.
I have a feeling Rosie is not going to be so smug in October when her fixed-term is up!

What beats me is now her drivel gets printed, are the driveling classes that stupid that they actually believe what she writes.

So she spent £49 on a sewing machine, spends a couple of hours playing with it in order to have something to write about, then spends half an hour knocking out a column. Gets paid perhaps £1k by The Times for her efforts, dumps the sewing machine and takes the kids to get fitted out at Gap.
Then later she gets taken out to dinner by the guy who runs the craft workshop she plugged.
A nice days work - what will she get up to tomorrow?

This Millard woman appears to be a total moron. The comments over at DT are good though.

I love the Alan Partridge clip about two minutes in with the high diver "Textbook!"

I love Diane Abbot's comments on the video version - the ENGLISH (not the british - as Andrew Neil seeks clarification) middle classes love austerity. Complete drivel - i dont normally support portillo but hes on the money when he takes the p*ss out of her for saying that.

I had to pinch myself to stay awake and finish reading it. Someone at the Times must feel sorry for her. What an absolutely boring woman
I did skip a few paragraphs. I just had to it was just too much.
