Year on year prices up 9%, in Gwynedd North Wales, with a claimed 1.5% growth in March. Has Greenbay been on a buying spree?

Probably skewed on the strength of the Abersoch "elite" (wealthy chavs)

This is, in my view, a very, very dubious claim...especially in an age where mortgages are so heavily down in number.

I am originally from Gwynedd and my folks still live on Anglesey. Anglesey was down YoY I believe in yesterdays LR figures, and yes Gwynedd posted a 9% YoY increase. It is a beautiful place, but like most beautiful places, there isn't any sustainable large scale employment prospects, just farming and tourism. My folks reckon Anglesey is definitely on the down, these Gwynedd figures seem completely out of kilter with the surrounding areas which would lead me to be less celebratory and a little more concerned. This is a bit of a joskin paper however and I would not rely on it for fiscal enlightenment.
