Judging by how easily the populous is panicked I filled up yesterday afternoon. The fuel queues will appear over the weekend I reckon.

Price of gas here in NI up by 28%, just announced. Oil up 5 times in the last 2 weeks. Food prices up. Teachers on strike over pay with banners questioning the validity of CPI. I'm getting a real sense of people beginning to panic as their cost of living rockets. This is going to be a very interesting year.

This Government has given the Scottish people quite a number of real advantages over their English counterparts, largely paid for by the English Taxpayer. Most of the Govt. Ministers being Scottish, want to have a head start in order to retain their Parliamentary seats and thus their snouts in the trough. Petrol problems in Scotland will remind the electorate that Brown won't take them to the promised land and that like the proverbial house of cards...................................................

Unfortunately, the worst thing the media can tell people is not to panic. Cos that'll trigger the panic, so too late.

Scotland is also subsidised to compensate for a monetary policy that only benefits london and south east to give Sterling stability, and also to compensate for oil revenue stolen from Scots by Westminster. Scotland should have Scandanavian levels ofwealth

If I were a Scot, I would fight for independence, particularly before being subsumed and asset stripped (by inflation and tax) by the EU, once it becomes an powerful corporate fascist state beyond the dreams of Musolini.

There has to be some sort of crass management at this refinenary. £50 million per day, thats nearly £50,000 per day for each worker on strike. Surely it costs a fraction of this to give them what they want????

Hardly surprising considering it's remoteness! They are just playing safe.

@Btl Rules - Kircaldy is on the outskirts of Dunfirmline, just off the M90 and a relatively short drive to Edinburgh time wise by crossing the Forth road bridge. The "panic2 has spread 150 miles south of the border - I see you have the dunces cap on for the 2nd day in a row.
