BBC News: Olympic cost plans 'unrealistic'
''....The government was "entirely unrealistic" in estimating the cost of hosting the 2012 Olympics, a group of MPs have said. At the time of the bid, costs were estimated at just over £4bn, but last year the budget was put at £9.325bn.....''

To be honest, I can't imagine what would happen in 2012, in view of the current upheaval by just opening another air terminal. Can they really manage?

It will be a shambles. I estimated the final bill will come in at over £20bn when they first won the bid. How will this benefit the country I ask?
