China's booming economy could be running out of steam – literally.

new scientist: China down to 12 days of coal stocks

At the end of a cold and stormy winter, the country has just 12 days of coal reserves at most power stations. Some provinces, including Hebei, bordering Beijing, have less than a week's coal left. This is a record low, the state electricity regulatory commission revealed on Tuesday.
It is often claimed that China builds a new coal-fired power plant once a week but the IEA figure suggests that it in fact builds two, assuming a typical plant size of one gigawatt.

Looks like we have 3 major threads in this "world crisis"

1) The banking/property sector
2) Natural resources/Food shortages
3) Climate change

See these articles in the Telegraph in the last few days

Climate change 'may put world at war'
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/main.jhtml?xml=/earth/2008/04/23/eaclimate123.xml&CMP=ILC-mostviewedbox

Food shortages: how will we feed the world?
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/main.jhtml?xml=/earth/2008/04/22/scifood122.xml&CMP=ILC-mostviewedbox

Water - the under-reported resource crisis
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/main.jhtml?xml=/earth/2008/04/22/eafred122.xml&CMP=ILC-mostviewedbox

This is the "fifth night" destruction phase identified by Calleman/Lungold in their evolution model that will lead to a change of consciousness by the end of the summer.

But as I have been saying there is one more destruction thread that needs to arrive before change can occur.

This is the political destruction crisis
Where all the truths of 9/11, 7/7 and EU Treaty of Lison come out.

Hope you guys have gold.
Don't let George "filthy" Soros buy it all on the cheap.

'threads' = 'frauds' ? ? ?

Behind the scenes there is major disagreement over the power of the sun's electric field to create the changes we have seen.

Parallel to carbon dioxide rising, this field has increased by over 200 per cent since 1900 and this is not factored in to computer models.

According to the carbon dioxide model, the climate will warm steadily and by the end of the century the planet could be several degrees warmer - from 2C to 7C.

If that happens, the Arctic will be ice-free and humanity will face severe problems of water and food supplies along with a huge loss of biodiversity.

I would suggest reading 'Revenge of Gaia' by James Lovelock for an alternative take on climate change. To sum it up, the Earth (and its inhabitants) are a self-regulating system which has, over the years, been able to adapt to the increasing influence of the sun (which it does take into account). Currently, though, we are stripping the Earth bare of the organisms and systems it uses to regulate, while increasing the CO2 content of the atmosphere - a 'double whammy', if you like.
I like it becuase it answers the ususal nonsense trotted out by the 'sceptics' and puts the blame squarely with whom it belongs - us. No matter where the greenhouse gas comes from - factories, cows etc. etc. - our lifestyles are to blame. This is the most important point to be made, at the end of the day.

shipbuilder - agreed... perhaps the declining and money supply will see the decline and end consumerism - forcing people to get something new into their lives.... a high conciousness / god perhaps?

alternatively... we could all buy shares in companies that produce suncream

If Global Warming is happening and there are alternative views, don't overlook the fact that the climate of this planet has never been constant and never will be, that's just the way things are. Back in Roman times, there were vineyards in this Country as far north as Northumbria. And the Romans weren't going around in skirts because they couldn't afford trousers - fact is, it was a lot warmer in this Country then. Pollution Tax on chariots anyone?

There is of course also the knowledge that other planets in the solar system are warming as well.

Surely the VI s can't blame we the people for that - sorry of course they can.

But we don't have to accept the blame, no matter how guilty we feel.
