London house prices to plummet on City cuts

Money Week: Britain realises you can go wrong with property

"I was on BBC London the other day talking about all this and for the first time I can remember I was not interrupted by anyone saying “yeah but you can’t go wrong with property can you?” It is gradually dawning that you can."

"When they fall, they fall quite fast."

Merryn, don't let them get to you. You were the first to see profit in buying the shiny stuff, you were the first to sell your house, and wait for the crash. Now you are everywhere, all over the telly telling everyone the way it was, is and will be. I missed out on all of that, but I've just bought barrell loads of oil at $108, just as you suggested on your website. Thank you, I'm almost counting my profits already.

"Anyone who thinks I am wrong about all this and wants to bet on it can now do so. London Central Portfolio Limited (LCP) is about to launch The London Central Portfolio Property Fund II, which is to invest exclusively in central London property. Personally I’d rather put my pension into a highly leveraged mortgage backed securities biased hedge fund."

To steal from confused76: "MWAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHA".

:-D

Go Merryn!

Fools - what terrible sarcasm. Quite literally because buying gold was a good idea.

Pity the Fools!

no inbreda, not because buying gold was a good idea, but because one correct guess doesnt make you a complete authority on the subject. Anyway, if you had any investment since then you would have done well. To me it's like running an 0898 number for those in debt, many money out of the vunerable!!
