How Much Would You Get For Screwing Up Your Company?

What a surprise!!! What message does this and other examples of failure being rewarded send out to the general public and more importantly the youth of today, another symptom of a corrupt and parasitic society. Each and every time I read about the useless fat cats and their hefty pay-offs I hope something will be done to curb this lunacy, but nothing ever changes. If I was to cause a catastrophic failure at my place of work I would be out on the door with sod all. Makes you proud to be British.

He sounds like the right sort of material to be running a health authority or something like that.

I wonder if that is 3/4's of a million squid of tax payers money? Probably.

One of my european funds has lost about 15% in the last 6 month (seriously!), Mr Merv, can you bail me out of my losses? No problem geed and here is another £10,000 as compensation for speculating and losing out!

I seriously am speechless that Merv has to state that he thinks he (BoE) should help the banks out but not with Tax payers money and that the shareholder should shoulder the cost/loss. duh your freakin dam right taxpayers money should not be given to the banks!!!! I would think it ludicrous only for the fact that it has already happened with Northern Crock.

No matter how cheesed off we are with this news -and the govt must be cringing over its publication- imagine how much worse a Crock shareholder or soon to be redundant employee must feel...

You bet it's taxpayer's money Geed. After all NR was effectively broke. Wonder whether he'd have received his pay-off if it hadn't been nationalised?
