Barnstaple house prices set to tank!
Telegraph: Michael Jackson's family seek Devon hideaway
The family of Michael Jackson, the pop star, may move to Devon to escape the media spotlight.
The singer's older brother Tito, a judge in the BBC One duet contest Just The Two Of Us, has spent the weekend house hunting in the town of Barnstaple in the West Country.
"We hope it will be a family hideaway where my brothers and sisters can escape the media attention when we need to," the actor told the North Devon Gazette newspaper.

Is there a Nationwide estate agency in Barnstaple? I've heard their usual ploy to boost a flagging housing market in any particular area is to start a rumour that a celeb' has been seen house hunting there. This usually comes before the 'garden shed sells for £275,000' headline.

Possibly p.doff, but you would think they would choose a celebrity with siblings that wouldn't strike fear into the minds of parents.

And if they were wanting to escape media attention, why would they tell the newspapers about it?

You'd think someone would have told him that the North Devon Gazette was part of the media he is trying to escape. Or perhaps these people are just addicted to attention.

Sorry couldnt help myself, Not really a secret hideaway now is it? With Wacko being repossesed of Neverland, I hope they realise jingle mail doesn't work here.

"You'd think someone would have told him that the North Devon Gazette was part of the media he is trying to escape. Or perhaps these people are just addicted to attention." prehaps these people are not even worth blogging about. Ive had enoughg of these non entities taking up our media space. If any jornalists are watching...GET SOME SOCIAL RESPONSABILITY and dont print another word of these people...write about the few people who are doing something....I know one hero worth writing about and I hold him in such high regard that I would not even mention his name on this space (as much as I want to)......all I will say is this man reduced anti social crime in one part of this country by 89% in 3 years and he has no support....he does it with a good heart and will never be recognised....I go sometimes to the centre he has set up and all myself and my wife can do is cry to see a selfless man who doesnt have greed as his motive in life but to give.....this isnt some sloppy hippie sh#t this is true and it exists here in the u.k........too many greedy people blogging on here pointing unconstructive fingers at others...its like the house of commons but more childish ( if such a thing is possible). STOP THINKING WHAT WE CAN DO TO MAKE A BUCK START THINKING WHAT WE CAN DO TO IMPROVE PEOPLES LIVES AROUND US.

But I have to say that N Devon is becoming ever more crowded (almost impossible to surf at weekends now - too many newbies), and South Wales for me is the new N Devon - but don't tell anyone...

I heard that Michael is moving there too. But as he's having to take out a series of large loans to pay for it, he'll be calling it 'Never-Never Land'.
