The more I hear (and see) of Vince cable, the more I like the guy. For once (it seems) we have a politician who just wants to get the job done and not bugger about with self interest. Shame he didn't run for leadership - as that kind of man would sway me to dare I say it.. VOTE!

Useful comments...."Britain's financial institutions are a laughing stock", "the government were asleep at the wheel". "After 15 years we have run out of money". 'nuff said.
Poor Ruth, she shouldn't have got into a debate on housing prices, personal indebtedness and financial competence.

Ooh I look forward to watching that tonight. I've never liked Ruth Kelly, who always seemed an upstart career politician with no experience outside politics of anything.

Ruth was mauled..she was truly pathetic and should have either jumped overboard or accept the iceberg has been hit.

She obviously doesn't go shopping - she said on the programme that inflation was being kept under control. A Labour MP out of touch with the ordinary folk!

Oh dear not another Kelly murdered by a politician.
Vince is the man !, The current governments achilles heel is the economy and the Lib Dems have an experienced shrewd no nonsense shadow chancellor who is offering real opposition.
The conservatives really are lost at sea on this issue, They should be cutting the government to shreds.
Vince could well bring about a Lib Dem government. (Well he gets my vote anyway).
