Note to webmaster: Content stealing by another website
House Price drop: House Price drop steals HPC content
I had the same problem in 2002 with a gambling website I ran.
Not really a big issue but the screen scraping may cause the website speed to perform badly

Personal I don't see why this is content theft. This site enables backlinks to the orginal authors, this is seen very often. This looks like a RSS feed site called Excerpts. Totally legal so be careful for quick judgement.
If it adds something to us readers, is an other questions. But for HPC it is no so bad... free exposure and backlinks!!!!

Maybe we've stolen their content, everything's dated 31st December 1969.

Further HPC related websites = further spread of the message. Maybe annoying initially to think that others are 'copying', 'stealing' or whatever but its healthy to get the message across, not only about the stupidity of our housing situation but hopefully about the moronic behaviour of these clowns who are in power.

If we put a link back in this thread, linking back to their website, does the internet fold in upon itself?

Not quite as the reflection into infinity would crash the servers.

Seriously though, how can one site freely (let's say legally) take on a mirror image of another and one site (let's say property snake) face lawsuits for just evaluating some of the statistics of another?
