The measures would make mortgages easier to get and reduce borrowing costs -- especially in hard-hit, high-cost housing markets.

this plan will only make things worse, you can see it coming....

the type of people who take out stupid loans etc will only waste rebates etc...

it is like throwing good money after bad...

Absolutely insane - no other words for this plan, oh, apart from irresponsible. Only EAs and politicians could possibly regard stoking another mini-boom as a good thing.

The US government will do anything to avoid a deflationary collapse.
They will drop IRs to zero and bail out borrowers and lenders alike.

I can see one more bubble (a bubble to end all bubbles) in 2009 before we enter a point of singularity and have a complete break from the past.
