Paragon and Bradford&Binge in the top-4 shorts
Tgraph: Short-selling on FTSE250 at 3-year high
"Paragon, the struggling buy-to-let mortgage lender, is the next biggest short in the index with 21 per cent of its shares shorted. Other big shorts include ... Bradford & Bingley, the mortgage bank" Personally, I am going to sell pounds. Euro is safer, Dollar and Yen are good speculative bets.

Already done
We pulled all our Sterling out of savings and with-profits-bonds (and yes they did do very well this year) - and converted to Euros. Sadly we should have done it a month earlier but we do seem to have missed the worst of the recent fall of the Pound against the Euro
I note that not many "news" organisations look at the EUR-GBP exchange rate - which is odd as a huge proportion of our trade is with Europe and NOT the US.
