Nobody panic. George W Bush is on the case!

BBC News: Phone confusion after Bush error

"I have a message for every homeowner worried about rising mortgage payments: the best you can do for your family is to call 1-800-995-HOPE," he said.
But those who went in search of hope got a busy signal - the president had given them the wrong number.
The number Bush gave was for the Freedom Christian Academy in Texas.

I genuinely thought I was reading a joke-article when I first saw this.

Now I know it is real, I can only call it one thing: disturbing.

yeah, the question you have to ask, why has it taken the BBC 4-5 days to report this, as it was already on msnbc & cnn days ago. And the other question, how relevant is a confused nutcase spouting off dodgy crap got to do with us brits. Answer: Nothing!!! Old News by the Beeb, what a waste of taxpayers money!!!! The beeb "goebbel days" are coming to a close, when someone like Grade leaves, you know their number is up.

Thats hilarious.
What a complete fool.
He is presiding over possibly the biggest crash in US housing history and he gives out the wrong number to distressed homeowners.
Only he could do that - and get away with it!
