Liz, since you asked, it is YOU, Gordon and the BTL b@stards that are to blame for your situation. The nice thing is YOU ARE BEYOND HELP (laughter, laughter, laughter)
ThisWasLizMoney: 'Yes, I'm a subprime borrower'
"But, hang on a minute. Is it fair that I (so many of us?) should be punished for wanting a roof over our heads and an alternative to a pension? I am fed up with homeowners taking the brunt. Yes, my London house made me £500,000 in 18 months" SHUT UP I@IOT!! Monkeys too learn from their mistakes. Liz you are totally beyond help! You are less than a monkey.

Polls suggest that LIZ IS TO BLAME. She's hardly ever been in the black and yet chose to get a mortgage? And when the London house had gone up $500K, surely that would invite even the most greedy to sell up and retire. What a loser!

Spoken like a true "Kamikase Pilot". Unfortunately there is nothing "Divine" about this greedy collaborator.

When I first read this article, I intended to write some witty riposte. Upon reflection, I just became depressed. I have a horrible suspicion that Liz Jones is not an isolated case but rather she has opened a window into the lives of the 'pay later' generation. I don't want to go to the zoo any more; when the animals see me, they might be repelled by the sight of modren homo sapiens.

I hope she STRs and writes about that instead. It would be better than reading self-pitying rubbish like this.
As an anecdotal it's good, though and confirms what folk here have been saying about future rate resets.
If you thought there was a lot of sales inventory now, just wait until next year when these forced sales start.

This proves that care in the community for persons with psychiatric disorders is not a good idea.

@c76, give us some laughter, quick!

Heh heh...I find it quite amusing that 81% of the people polled believe that Liz is to blame.
And rightly so!!!

I fail to see what her point really is.
She ended up where she is because she borrowed more than she could pay back full stop.
Not only did she make a mess of her life she "made the market" what it is.
Without fools like her the prices would not be where they are today.
No sympathy whatsoever.

serves her right. More people that get pecked by vultures the better the rest of us will be ..

I loved the link to vote on who was responible for her problems. 80% of readers think it her own fault.

This article is complete rubbish. There are genuine people out there that are suffering. And perhaps rightly so. But I fail to see how she compares with them. Half a mill in profit on a house! The level of debt she has makes no comparison against that.
This is disingenuous, journalistic crap!
