Beware of Easy Credit

Daily Mail: The £100,000-a-year ITN man forced to sleep rough because of debts

"I've met former solicitors, estate agents, people who ran their own businesses and who have now fallen on hard times. I've even met a former millionaire who lost all his money.

Anyone else getting this sick juxtapositioning from the sidebar:

"Could you cook Christmas dinner the Heston Blumenthal way?
A £100 trifle that uses 53 ingredients and takes six hours to make, and a starter using gold, frankincense and myrrh - welcome to Blumenthal's search for perfection"

I make an excellent trifle and if anyone wants to buy it for £100 I'll give the profit to a charity for the homeless.

This guy takes it on the chin not blaiming anyone or the banks. But you do wonder about the ruthelessness of banks as this bbc report today reveals http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7145579.stm. Banks phoning up people in debt daily to take on more debt!

Many people are one step away from being homeless. We just do not realise it.We can take our support systems for granted. However much more serious than that is we often take out mental well being for granted.
Being homeless can often be a result of bad decisions yes, but it takes confidence and insight into ourselves to climb back out of the hole we fall into. Its not enough for people to say get a job and work yourself out of it.It sounds to me as if this guy gave everything up to save his Missus from the same fate.....not sure I agree with that strategy but its often men who sacrifice everything through feelings of guilt and failure..its why most homeless people are men.In an odd sort of way its taking responsibilty through some sort of penance.
Where as women will ask for help.
