The truth is out there!
ThisWasMoney: House prices inch up as slowdown begins
"David Stubbs, senior economist for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, said a steeper fall in house price inflation was imminent. 'Although today's numbers show annual house price growth remaining in double digits, the slowdown in the UK housing market can clearly be seen,' he said. 'This is the smallest rise for seven months and is the prelude to a sharper reduction in house price growth, which is happening right now."

Has anyone noticed how there are practically too many articles about bad news for the housing market to print?
Once this gets into the public psyche, the market is doomed.

Year on Year figures = Horse, Stable, Door, Bolted in a falling market.

I am sick of these surveys. They dont reflect anything any more just the view of the interest of the companies. One minute prices are down, next minute they are up. Like this one they are up but down and sideways. I think they should get a grip and just say what is happening before going to Reuters or BBC and telling us what we want or not want to hear. It is obvious the market is slowing, but they just want people to still be optimistic. You can almost predict these surveys. It is always after the rates set, before they are playing it down. After playing it up. We are not thick and can they please give us more respect.
