IMF is gloomy on world economy

BBC: IMF forecasts money down turn

The IMF chief economist is gloomy on the world economic prospects. He thought that there were signs in summer that the credit crunch would resolve itself however, he now admits that it is entering a second wave. With high oil prices and inflation interest rates cannot be cut and no country is strong enough to withstand the shock.
