Black and white offices raided by police and fsa

Firstrung: Police and FSA raid leading mortgage brokers head office

According to the editorial team at Mortgage Strategy the Financial Services Authority and police swept into the offices of blackandwhite.co.uk this morning looking for past case documents. The FSA arrived at the brokerage's head office in Staffordshire at 8am without specifying which areas of the business they were investigating.

Finally! I was wondering when a story like this would break - fraudulent mortgage-lending has been a major factor in the housing boom and has been well-covered up to date. Now it's finally starting to come out of the woodwork...

surely this sort of action will push houseprices down by about 50%, as without some form of porkies, 90% of people could not afford a new house!!!!!!
