Like I said, CPI inflation above 3% AGAIN January, 4 to 5 interest rate increases over 2008. This will be a catch up process and Libor spread will remain, so 10% mortgages could be the norm by the end of 2008. I can't see this cycle peaking until China experiences a recession, and that could take a few years (will be a delayed response to the Yuan appreciating) as China's export boom comes to an end and the Chinese, from a strong Yuan begin the process of becoming a consumer nation rather than one based on exports and savings. We will be like slowly boiled frogs until that point in my opinion, and those in a position to export high value products and services to China after that point will do well. (In my humble opinion).
