Telegraph: Northern Rock shares tumble on low bid fears
Shares in Northern Rock plunged in this morning as investors realised that they may have been overly optimistic about the price potential bidders may pay.

The same people who bought NR shares, thinking they would go back up again will be snapping up houses after 10% falls.

Well UBS (world's largest manager of private wealth assets) bought 5% today.
Northern rock has a great deal of value in loan contracts, the shorting of the stock by Goldman Sachs and others doesn't change that fact.
