Watford Observer: Refunds for faulty Barratts flats
Prospective homeowners who bought flats in a town centre development have been offered their money back following substandard construction work.
Building work on the Queensgate development, which will comprise of 91 flats, in Loates Lane, has stalled after construction firm Barratts took over the project from its sister company Kingsoak.

Aha, that is the one with the red tiles on the outside which look like they are put on by an amateur - they look all off! I drive by the building every other day. One has to wonder who would buy a flat for the same money as a house.

I wondered why they were taking so long to build....
Lovely location, right next to the ring road, and Queens road - the local pub was called the Mad George for a while, and there was always at least one drunk or other sat outside. Not to forget that the area has had 3 murders (one right opposite) in the last couple of years.
All yours for £280,000. Bargin!
