Jim Rogers -the Us Dollar Is 'doomed'
Bloomberg: THE US DOLLAR IS 'DOOMED'
A great insightful video interview on big global finance issues. This old bird has very little good to say about the Fed, Paulson, Bernanke, and also has some great thoughts on where to put your money.

I must mention that exactly the same applies to the sterling. Considering UK economy's even heavier dependence on the phoney property boom, potential drop of GBP could be even steeper.

Jim Rogers is a well-known investor and something of a prophet of doom when it comes to western economies. In 2006 he made his famous quote: "Get out of the dollar, teach your children Chinese and buy as many commodities as you can." He can be over-dramatic but his underlying arguments always seem sound. Take a look at this article from the Telegraph last year, his predictions seem accurate so far!

yes JU,
I can see how this applies to Sterling, there is a good chance of debasing the £ currency.
Paulson is another politician, and changes his tack on a regular basis (a bit like Kate on the MPC). All we need is another helicopter for Kate....
