Darling wants to protect savers money

BBC: Plans for quicker bank bail-outs

Darling wants to insulate savers from Bank Collapse and maintain Critical Functions such as Direct Debits and Cash Machines. Darling also revealed a members interest as his mortgage is with Northern Rock, now is that Prime or Sub-Prime?

Dear Members posting,

I received a telephone call early this morning from a friend that watches the TV in the morning
5.0 am 11th October 2007. She said that on BBC News 24, that there was a report of a Belgian
Online Ban had gone bust. She told me that there were interviews with women that had lost their
money. I have searched the Internet and admit at being by other’s standards Internet ignorant and
could not find any references. Can anyone help to confirm this? Any help would be most
appreciated.

Another point, the postings of bad financial news and busts here are coming in so fast and thick
that they disappear from the window too quickly, does anyone know how to contact the
administrators to allow more history postings to be viewed on the slide bar? I think that the slide
bar should be much smaller so that inexperienced visitors like me, can see more of the topics more
easily. The pressure is building and this has become more essential now with the HPC in full flow.

Due to this fact, I will post this again as in new topics as they cascade in.

On the subject of failed banks- I think Sainsbury's bank is either in trouble, is completely incompetent, or is just taking advantage of a reasonably good headline rate. They have been dreadful, I urge you all to steer clear.

The Inflation proof National Savings that are said to be inflation proof are a scam as the ONS (&
FSA) is fixing the figure to look good. Everyone is a loser, and they are too complacent to realise
it. Brown has got them all in his pocket and playing billiards with them. This save the National svings lots of money.

I'm not sure that a bigger window is necessary as the 'News Blog' items have their own pages anyway (accessed via the green 'News Blog' tab at the top of the page).

Down wave, I don't know about the Belgian bank but I know about an American Online bank called Netbank that went bust.
There website was closed for the weekend and ING Direct bought them very quickly and they were in business the following week.

wiltshire.. Thank you, but you are an experienced user. The complacent man in the street will not know how to get there, I do not know how to get there but you have told me. Given the TV new about the HPC, most people using the internet are not trained in the internet, They just pick up their emails and send them out. I have tens of thousands of emails and three web sites and a forum, yet I find these forums difficult. Remember that the people that have caused the HPC and the raging house inflation, as many others have posted here, cannot do their sums, especially the BTL's. Now people will want to Know how to save themselves and it is wise to be compasionate.

I have posted this on my Forum coffee break Off Topic section>>>If you are thinking of buying or selling a house, flat etc., Keep your eyes glued to http://www.housepricecrash.co.uk/ & http://www.propertysnake.co.uk/. Last Friday 5th October 2007 this website had 62,000 discounted properties listed, I have just checked this morning and it as gone to 82,000 (10 October 2007). It is updated daily. You can enter post codes and see the discounts of any area or you can check out regions such as Wales, etc. Also watch the Hedge Fund Implode Meter http://hf-implode.com/ & http://ml-implode.com/ Morgage Lenders Implode Meter.

I predicted black Wednesday and the 90's house price crash, I even wrote to my MP then Toby Jessel warning the Tories, he telephoned me and was not a happy man. Nevertheless it all came to pass.

Remember that most Estate agents, bankers, MP's and so on are at or either side of minus 3 in the Naked Spirit book page 75. I hope this helps your family and future. Just trying to help people here to survive.

Good Luck

Just look at media, it is in every newspaper every day now and has been on all of the TV News transmissions. I am not trying to put you down, just standing in ethics and trying to assist. Thank you.

Downwave, can you please try to stop sounding like a broken record, nobody cares what you may or may not have predicted in 1992. Me? I predicted that happy hardcore and the free party community had a future, and then there was the criminal justice act! Do you want me to post that?! I made a few other predictions and wrote into my local paper about a couple other issues, do you think I'll get a few brownie points?!

P4AC

Just give "down wave" a break please and try to be less belligerent. Just because you don't find down wave's posting interesting do not mean that no one else will. I am interested in seeing how other people view the world; no one has the monopoly on understanding. I accept this fact might be difficult for an un-elected town planner to accept but it happens to be true. The souless modern towns prove that.

A quantum example: Was Einstein working in the Physics Department of a grand university when he published his calculations on relativity. No. He was working as a Custom's Clerk (or was it a Tax Clerk?) at the time. Just because you happen to work in a particular field does not give you the authority to be correct all the time!

for your exclusive use? Your posting above is an example of what my daughter meant about’
mind set’. That I posted the other day, whereby it triggered a number of altercation-ative replies.
When I mentioned it to her, she cracked up and said: ‘You Lit The Blue Touch Paper Then. You
do not have to brandish your chronic anger here.

Get a grip on yourself Man and stop trying to introvert everyone that you disagree with. Do your
utmost and try to cultivate your sense of charity and humor please.

Sorry TR but I don't think P4AC is being that belligerant.

Downwave has told us about his prediction about the 1992 crash about 10 times now in various different posts and has now put it in the Wiki and each time it was a copied and pasted version of the previous post. I didn't complain the first 9 times, it just became a little bit like a scratched record, and its a bit anoying for somebody to say that something is so just because he thinks his daughter is a great economist, it just got a bit annoying I'm afraid. Like Homer Simpson once said, congratutulate yourself once, and move on. (Actually he said blame yourself once, but that didn't fit the paragraph!).

Downwave, why would I want to read a paper on quantum mechanics? What is the relevance?! Maybe you want to write a paper about the relevance of quantum mechanics to house prices and post it on the wiki? But the smallest quantum of houses is a house, and they don't behave like sub-atomic particle, but you could refer to debt in a quantum fasion, with the way that a bit of debt, repackaged into a CDO responds to default on the original loan even if it is sold on 100 times and ends up the other side of the world as part of a CDO, and in the way that money can be created and dissapear and behave like exotic sub-atomic particles, I look forward to your report, but try to keep of the whisky whilst you're at it!
